Dr.
Patricia Mihaly Nabti has experience as an educator at all levels of
education: a parent-volunteer at the pre-school level, a bilingual tutor
(Arabic-English) at the elementary level, a social studies teacher at
the intermediate and secondary school levels, and a professor of
cultural anthropology at the university level (Stanford University and
the American University of Beirut). Dr. Nabti founded the Association

President and Director since then. She is a member of Lebanon’s National
Committee on Volunteering and one of two representatives from Lebanon to
the Arab Federation for Voluntary Activities. She has given lectures and
workshops on volunteering (in Arabic) in Egypt, Kuwait, and Syria, as
well as in Lebanon, and she has given presentations on the basics of the
Learning to CARE Program at conferences in Korea, Spain,
China, and India. Dr. Nabti has a B.A. in Political
Science and an M.A. in Education, both from Stanford University, and a
Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California,
Berkeley. She is a citizen of both Lebanon and the United States, of
American origin, and primarily Hungarian descent, and has been a
